2018: A year in review

1. where did you begin 2018? in sheffield, of all places
2. what did you do in 2018 that you'd never done before? i lived in my own house with flatmates
3. did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i didn't keep them but i will always do them again
4. were you in school (anytime this year)? university !
5. did anyone close to you give birth? nope
6. any new additions to your family? nope
7. did anyone close to you die? my grandad. but i suppose we weren't close
8. did you know anybody who got married? nope
9. what countries did you visit? lots!!! croatia, laos, cambodia, vietnam, and thailand/dubai for layovers
10. how did you earn your money? university grants and a lot of working as brand ambassadors etc
11. where did most of your money go? travelling! and now, groceries and rent lol
12. did you have any encounters with the police? no
13. what would you like to have in 2019 that you lacked in 2018? willpower
14. what date from 2018 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? my memory is too bad for this
15. what was your biggest achievement of the year? i made it through the year & thats an achievement honestly
16. what was your biggest failure? succumbing to my chronic fatigue and letting it affect my life so severely
17. did you suffer illness or injury? illness, not injury
18. where did you go on holidays/vacation? aforementioned ^^^ and boomtown festival !
19. what was the best thing you bought? a heated blanket. no question. i've already ordered one for my london home
20. whose behaviour merited celebration? perhaps debbie? she is doing so well to start over
21. whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? sasha's. sadly
22. what did you get really, really, really excited about? my zine and ambitions and my potential
23. did you move anywhere? only to uni again
24. where do you live now? edinburgh / london
25. what song will always remind you of 2018? i'm not sure. i feel like i'll only know this in retrospect

27. what do you wish you'd done more of? making an effort to see friends

32. did you fall in love in 2018? i fell out of love
33. how many one-night stands? none
34. what was your favourite tv program? hm. maniac? stranger things? i don't really remember. im rewatching vampire diaries and supernatural at the moment though. but i wouldn't say they're "good"
35. do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? i have a resentment for my ex for how he's changed towards me now that he has a "new me" i.e. another girl to devote his entire self to. i suppose im bitter
36. what was the best book you read? the master and margerita by bulgakov
37. what was your greatest musical discovery? biig piig, mf doom etc
38. what did you want and get? i got a lot of things but i still always want. that's something i'm working on
39. what was your favourite film of this year? infinity war (and new films to me- the thing, mulholland drive, kids)
40. what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 20. i had a house party in edinburgh and it was really wonderful. my home friends came up to dj and there was so much love in the atmosphere
41. what would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? money to travel more.
42. how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2018? wide leg long trousers or jeans, anything fluffy, boxy drop shoulder structured jumpers, tight spaghetti strap barely there crop tops, gold jewellery
43. what kept you sane? my flatmates
44. which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? i'm not sure. i might have to come back to this
45. what concerts/shows did you go to? too many to count!
46. did you see any live sporting events? /o\ no
47. what political issue stirred you the most? brexit
48. what has been your favourite moment? my birthday. my birthdays are usually uneventful but this year i felt very close to everyone. there are also a few hysterical laughing moments that i vaguely remember that would make the cut for this question. i wish my memory was better!
49. what was your best month? july and september
50. who was the best new person you met? hm. alfie and phoebe
51. who has been your best drinking buddy? kate?
52. who did you miss? a lot of people. george. sasha. zoe. nat
53. favourite night out? romare maybe or that one in boomtown
54. tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2018: i need to stop being lazy and reach my potential
55. what's something you learned about yourself? i always know when i am being annoying but i can't stop it when i'm feeling low
